The desire to “seize the day” led to the formation of the Carpe Diem Art Collective. Initially formed by a group of art enthusiasts meeting once a month for art appreciation sessions and activities, it quickly became much more than that. The group came into full force during the global pandemic where art became a safety net for us all. This virtual group with members from different parts of the country was therapeutic during tough times. The Carpe Diem Art Collective became a great space to refine our skill sets. Members conducted sessions on a variety of methods including watercolour, charcoal, pen & ink, and acrylic pouring.
Carpe Diem Art Collective has put up two group shows at the Museo Camera in the last two years. Both were well received. The group presents its third group exhibition from 6th to 8th December 2024. The artworks displayed will featured different media, from watercolour, charcoal, pen & ink to acrylic and oil. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Devyani Sahai, Associate Director at Ojas Art.
