The permanent exhibition at the Museo Camera has grown out of the personal collection of eminent Indian photographer and visual historian, Aditya Arya. With over 3000 objects including cameras, miscellaneous equipment and Photographic ephemera, the exhibition brings alive the milestones in Photography spanning more than 200 years.

The Museum has on display a part of the collection has more than 2500 antique cameras from over a 100 countries, including the tiniest camera on earth, the oldest (dating back to the 1870s), a dazzling array of photographic equipment, the earliest flash equipment; photographic films; lenses; enlargers and light meters The archives include photographs of historical and social interest. The Kulwant Roy Collection duly recognised as a National Collection by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India has rare and iconic images of India’s forefathers and freedom fighters and has been widely exhibited in India and around the world in collaboration with the Government of India and ICCR. On display will be a collection of vintage advertisements from the world of photography: camera companies, film roll manufacturers, accessories and related products from 1880’s, several historic patents and other curiosities related to photography.
